<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which effectively utilizes space by providing a recording material discharge portion between an image forming portion and an image reading portion arranged at the upper part of the image forming portion, whose occupied area and occupied height are reduced, and where the inside of the image forming portion with simple constitution can be opened by easy operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes the image forming portion 2 recording an image on recording material P; an opening/closing member 6 provided in a housing 7A covering over the image forming portion and turning to open the inside of the image forming portion 2; the image reading portion 3; link members 4 and 5 linking the image forming portion 2 and the image reading portion 2 and also provided with a holding means 4c holding the member 6; and the image reading portion 3 is arranged at the upper part of the image forming portion 2 through a recording material discharge part 113 on which the recording material P discharged from the image forming portion 2 is stacked, and the member 6 is constituted to open the inside of the image forming portion 2 by the link member interlocked with the turning operation of the image reading portion 3 from a 1st position to a 2nd position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
