PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high bead durability possessed by a bead wind structure while suppressing molding failure. SOLUTION: In the heavy duty tire, a ply folding portion 6b of a carcass 6 has a winding-up portion 11 that connects with a main portion 10 folding along the bead core 5 and intermittently extends from the upper surface SU of the bead core at an angleθsmaller than 90°. The ratio L1/L0 of the radial height L1 of the tip Pa of the winding-up portion 11 from a bead base line BL to the radial height L0 of a ply body 6a in the tire equator is set to 0.07-0.12.
