CAMERA APPARATUS AND IRIS IMAGING CAMERA APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus which can pickup an image of a subject in good focus without making a mechanism and a circuit complicate.

SOLUTION: An iris imaging camera apparatus 1 include an iris image acquiring apparatus 10 to acquire the iris images photographed in each of the first and the second photographing modes with different characteristics of focus on the iris, and an iris certifying apparatus 60 which judges a distance to the iris by a judging section of a distance to a subject 63 on the basis of the difference of the focus of the image of the iris photographed in the first and the second photographing modes.
