PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat structure for an automobile capable of taking a first mode wherein a seat back is fallen and superposed on a seat cushion and a second mode wherein the seat cushion is stored in such a state that it stands on a front side of the seat back by simple operation. SOLUTION: A seat back movable shaft 12 of the seat back 6 gets freely movable and rotatable in a guide slit 17 of a seat back back surface board 10 by releasing the seat back 6 from the seat back back surface board 10. Then, the second mode in such a state that the seat back 6 stands on a front side of the seat cushion 5 is taken by operating it so as to feed a lower end of the seat back 6 frontward. The first mode in such a state that the seat back 6 is superposed on the seat cushion 5 can be taken by frontward falling the seat back 6 in such a state that the seat back back surface board 10 and the seat back 6 are engaged with each other.
