Injection nozzle (1) comprises a nozzle body (2), and a first and a second nozzle needle (8, 15). A first control surface (23) is formed on the first nozzle needle or on a first drive piston (24) coupled to the nozzle needle. The first control surface is arranged in a first control chamber (36) and loaded with pressure. A control piston (30) guided in a control piston guide (60) of the nozzle body is coupled to an actuator (31). The control piston has a second control surface (32) arranged in a second control chamber (33) and loaded with pressure. The first control chamber communicates via a coupling line (37) with the second control chamber. A third control surface (42) is arranged on the second nozzle needle or on a second drive piston (43) coupled to the nozzle needle and is loaded with pressure. A third control chamber (44) is connected via an outlet line (47) to a pressure sink (48). A control valve (51) arranged in the outlet line opens and closes the second nozzle needle.
