PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate such a problem that in the case when a water cleaner of an electric kettle is composed of: a cleaner body having a water-passable hole and a magnet fit to the undersurface of the cleaner body; and a water cleaning agent cartridge housed in the cleaner body and the water cleaner is freely attachably and detachably fit to the bottom surface of an internal vessel of the electric kettle by the magnet, the performance of the magnet is deteriorated in an early stage due to the heat of the electric kettle. SOLUTION: The magnet 21 is fit to the undersurface of the cleaner body 15 of the water cleaner at a position biased toward one side of the cleaner body from the center. The magnet 21 is attracted to a peripheral part 13 of the inner bottom surface formed on the outer periphery of a heater mounting part 9 on the bottom surface of the internal vessel 3.
