PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter type agitator capable of agitating hot water of a bath and simultaneously removing garbage. SOLUTION: As a means for operating an agitating rod and a garbage removal net effective even when operated in any direction, a flow regulating plate and a valve are arranged in an agitator having opening parts upward, downward, and in a travel direction, and a garbage removal filter is arranged on the exit side of a water flow. In the first invention, an operating rod 1 is provided for an upper part of a tubular agitator body 2 having the opening parts upward, downward, and in a travel direction, and a fulcrum 3 for arranging the flow regulating plate 10 is provided for the inside of the agitator body. The flow regulating plate is pivoted in such a way as to freely rock. A check valve 4 is provided for an exit side part of a water flow regulated by the inclination of the flow regulating plate due to water pressure. A detachable filter 5 is provided. In the second invention, the fulcrum 3, on which a the agitator body 12, a basin, etc of any shape of as a tube or a box are pivoted in such a way as to freely rock, is provided for the tip of the operating rod 1 bifurcated in a plan view, the garbage check valve 4 and a fastening part 7 are provided for the agitator body, and the filter 5, the basin, etc. are arranged.
