<p>A drive system for a garage door, and for similar doors has a hollow driven shaft (1) set across the door and connected to a drive (21) via a pressfit coupling. The end of the driven shaft has a pressed groove for a set length and into which is pushed the drive stub, with corresponding groove, to form a high torque coupling. The drive stub is located inside the driven axle via a number of spacers (11), which can be plastic. The drive stub and driven shaft are metal.</p> |
