The fan has a housing (10) with air outlet (12) containing a driver (20) with several vanes (21) mounted on the base (13). Several ribs (14) extend between the base and housing in the radial direction of the base and at least one guide ring (15) is fixed on the ribs. At least one guide ring (15) having an axial length greater than the width in the radial direction guides and divides the air stream which runs through the air outlet as the driver rotates. The guide ring can have a triangular cross-section with the ring-shaped inner side and ring-shaped outer side meeting at a common ring-shaped edge.
