A system for informing the automobile trunk confinement emergency and a method for the same are provided to reinforce the function of an intelligent transport system. A system for informing the automobile trunk confinement emergency has a switch box(10). The switch box(10) includes an emergency switch(4), a first light emission diode(6a), a second light emission diode(6b) and a communication module(7). The emergency switch(4) informs the emergency state. The first light emission diode(6a) displays the progress state when the emergency switch(4) is in the state of on. The second light emission diode(6b) displays the notice reception and the tracking state. The communication module(7) transmits the vehicle information including the position information of the vehicle received from the navigation system mounted on the vehicle to the police server.
