<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the local occurrence of stresses in the molded resin etc., of an ignitor by means of a release material having a simple shape without using any cushioning material having a complicated shape in an ignition coil for internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil for internal combustion engine comprises primary and secondary coils 28 and 23 housed in the first housing 12 of a case 10, the ignitor 35 which is housed in the second housing 15 of the case 10 and causes the secondary coil 23 to generate a high voltage by interrupting the primary current of the primary coil 28, and release materials 40 (41 and 42) bonded to the surface of the ignitor 35. The coil also comprises an insulating resin 45 packed in the spaces formed between the ignitor 35 and release materials 40, and the second housing 15. The release materials 40 form gaps 41b and 42b between the surface of the ignitor 35 and insulating resin 45 surrounding the surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
