<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device for a printed material capable of quickly changing a setting corresponding to a different format with ease, thereby manufacturing small number of copies at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: A printed material (2) such as a book, a catalogue, or a magazine to be cut is gripped by a positioning device (P), and supplied within a cutting devices (S1 to S3) by a delivery apparatus (Z). A plurality of cutting devices (S1 to S3) are arranged separately from each other, and in this condition, the printed material (2) to be cut is aligned by the delivery apparatus (Z) for one cutting operation respectively. One side face cutting is executed on the printed material (2) thus positioned within each cutting device (S). The printed material (2) thus aligned is moved with straight line stroke to a transfer region (II) from the aligning device (P) by a sending gripper (16). Here, the alignment of the printed material (2) is not changed. Delivery of the printed material (2) is performed by a multi-stage planetary gear transmission mechanism (36). An adjustable controlling cranks (42 to 45) are provided for aligning the printed material (2) within the cutting devices (S1 to S3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
