SUGAR ELECTROLYTE MAINTENANCE TRANSFUSION SOLUTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a sugar electrolyte maintenance transfusion solution having a desirable electrolyte balance, a titratable acidity and pH and pharmaceutical stability. SOLUTION: This sugar electrolyte maintenance transfusion solution has a composition shown below. The solution is compounded with a glycerophosphoric acid salt as a phosphorus source and adjusted to pH 5.0-6.0 with citric acid, and has the titratable acidity of≤15. The composition of the solution is composed of 2.5-7.5%(W/V) glucose, 25-50 mEq/L of Na+, 15-30 mEq/L of K+, 3-7 mEq/L of Ca2+, 2-7 mEq/L of Mg2+, 20-30 mEq/L of Cl-, 15-25 mEq/L of CH3COO-, and 2.5-10 mmol/L of P.
