Yarn double-belt drafting station for spinning assembly has interchangeable shoe presented against the lower belt for fine and coarse yarn

A textile spinning assembly receives fibres along a clamp line (7) sandwiched between two endless belts (10, 12) within a drafting station (1). The lower belt (14) is supported prior to the clamp point (7) by a shoe (14). The shoe is interchangeable for a shoe of alternative design, selected as appropriate for fine or coarse yarn. When changing the shoe (14) for one of another design, the distance between the pressure roller (11) and clamp line (7) is also altered.
