PURPOSE: An apparatus for generating the common electrode voltage of a liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize the image sticking due to the kick back voltage by supplying the common electrode voltage for the still image. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for generating the common electrode voltage of a liquid crystal display device includes a period control unit(110) and a voltage supplying unit(120). The period control unit controls the period of the common electrode voltage. And, the voltage supplying unit alternatively generates the first voltage and the second voltage in response to the period of the common electrode voltage.
