A surface acoustic wave (SAW) filter comprising a first SAW resonator, a second SAW resonator connected in series with the first SAW resonator at a first joint, a third SAW resonator connected in series with the second SAW resonator at a second joint, a fourth SAW resonator connected in series with the third SAW resonator at a third joint, a fifth SAW resonator connected between the first joint and the ground, a sixth SAW resonator connected between the third joint and the ground, and a first capacitance component connected between the second joint and the ground and forming a capacitance. The SAW filter exhibits steep attenuation characteristics on the high band side of a pass band and thereby the pass band is widened with reduced loss.
