PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press capable of omitting a step of detaching a work from a lower die having been done in the conventional practice, and quickly performing transfer of the work to the next step, and dispensing with installation of any detaching device for detaching the work or dispensing with setting work of the detaching device for every kind of the work. SOLUTION: When the piston 14a of a cylinder 14 is extended/contracted, a clamp member 11 is reciprocated by a link member 13. A work 4 is formed out of a plate member engaged with an upper die 2 and a lower die 3. When the upper die 2 is elevated and the clamp member 11 is moved in the direction of the upper die 2, the work 4 is supported by a claw member 11a, and the supported work 4 is detached from the lower die 3 by the upward motion of a ram 1.
