INTEGRATOR STRUCTURE FOR ENHANCING LIGHT EFFICIENCY

PURPOSE: An integrator structure is provided to change the structure and material of the integrator used to an optical system for performing a color scrolling by using a color drum, thereby enhancing light efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A light generated from a lamp is transmitted through an opening(1). A reflective plane(3) reflects the light incident to the inside of the integrator. A prism(7) refracts and totally reflects the reflected light. A reflection-type polarizing panel(4) transmits only the light polarized toward a specific direction and reflects the remaining light. A wavelength panel(2) the phase of the light reflected by the polarizing panel. An air gap(8) for refracting the light is formed because the prism and reflection-type polarizing panel are the same medium such as a glass.
