PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of easily embedding the object information in the meta-data at the time of photographing by using radio communication to acquire the object information from the object and to provide an imaging method, and its recording medium and program. SOLUTION: An image pickup element 108 picks up the image of an object 150 and outputs the image signal. An image pickup signal processing circuit 109 outputs moving image data on the basis of the image signal outputted by the image pickup element 108. A CPU 124 detects attribute information about the object 150 through a modulator-demodulator 140 and an antenna 141 in each prescribed period by performing radio communication with an ID-TAG 151. The CPU 124 records the moving image data outputted by the image pickup signal processing circuit 109 and the detected attribute information to a memory card 130 for image recording through a memory interface 128 and a connector 129.
