Method of producing a crystalline benzatin salt of phenoxymethyl penicillin by adding benzatin-diacetate water solution to acetone or water-acetone solution of the free acid of phenoxymethyl penicillin. Benzatin salt of phenoxymethyl penicillin prepared by this method is characterized by its high quality and is suitable for the formulation of pharmaceutical treatment compositions containing penicillin V.
