The footwear has a sole (2), an upper equipped with a tightening unit, and a strip intended to cover the top of a foot. The strip has two elastic layers between which are inserted internal and external damping pads and a semi rigid splice (10). The edges of the strip are rigidly fixed on a major part the length of the upper. The splice is placed between the damping pads.
