<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure safety of a vehicle by improving reliability of communications in a vehicle communication system. <P>SOLUTION: Each ECU constituting the vehicle communication system is provided with a first transmitting/receiving part for performing data communications via communication lines LN1-LN3, and a second transmitting/receiving part for performing data communications via a power line LE. Each ECU causes each of the first and second transmitting/receiving parts to transmit data and a system indispensable to traveling the vehicle and status data for reporting system abnormality. Besides, when a plurality of pieces of the same data are received by the first and second transmitting/receiving parts, each ECU selects normal data as transmission data from another electrical apparatus from among the plurality of pieces of data. An ECU 36 equipped with a display device 37 or the like for notifying the vehicle crew of the system abnormality, when receiving status data from another ECU, determines whether or not system abnormality to be reported to the vehicle crew occurs, and when such system abnormality occurs, the ECU 36 controls the display device to notify the vehicle crew of the abnormality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
