MOLD FOR IN-MOLD FOAM MOLDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for in-mold foam molding which prevents flashes on a parting line and improves the filling properties of foamable resin particles in the vicinity of the parting line. SOLUTION: The mold 10 and 20 for in-mold foam molding which is used in an in-mold foam molding method is equipped with a recess tool 15 and a projecting tool 25 combined with the recess tool and has a constitution wherein the foamable resin particles are filled in a molding space 8 formed by mold matching of the recess tool 15 with the projecting tool 25 and wherein steam is supplied into the molding space 8 from steam chambers 17 and 27 formed respectively on the back sides of the recess tool 15 and the projecting tool 25 and the foamable resin particles in the molding space 8 are thereby heated, foamed and welded to obtain a molded article. Herein contact surfaces 19 and 29 coming into parallel contact with each other are formed at least partially on mold splitting parts 18 and 28 of the recess tool 15 and the projecting tool 25, tilted at an angle smaller than 90°to the direction of opening and closing of the mold.
