PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To weld an inexpensive bracket or the like to a cylinder, and to insert a piston in a cylinder by the welding in a single cylinder damper and a manufacturing method for the same. SOLUTION: The single cylinder damper has a piston 8 which is movably inserted in a cylinder 1 and a rod 4 connected to the piston 8, and one or a plurality of members 3 to be connected are fixed to an outer circumference of the cylinder 1 by welding. An expansion part 2 is provided on a part or a plurality of parts of the cylinder 1, and the members 3 are welded to the outer circumference of the expansion part 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
