PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump with a built-in screen, which automatically solves plugging of the screen and also can forcibly feed solid foreign matter to the outside of a draining device, by eliminating all working such as a troublesome solid matter scraping off/eliminating working and a scraped off/eliminated solid matter carrying out working from the outside of the draining device. SOLUTION: An impeller 4 used in common for both a water wheel runner and a pump impeller is attached to a pump main spindle 3 and rotatively stored in the inside of a pump casing 5. The annular screen 14 for catching the solid matter fixed on the inner surface of the pump casing 5 is arranged in a position right above the impeller 4 in the inside of the pump casing 5. When the impeller 4 functions as the water wheel runner, the solid foreign matter 15 is caught by the screen 14, and when the impeller 4 functions as the pump impeller, the caught solid foreign matter 15 is back-washed and discharged.
