<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize consumable goods in a printer connected with a client. <P>SOLUTION: A print system 100 comprises a plurality of clients CL and printer PT. A print job is transmitted from a client to the printer PT where printing is executed based on the print job. The printer PT counts the number of printed pages for each of single side/both side print modes and records the count in a record data base DB. If the utilization rate R of both side printing is not higher than a specified value when print processing has ended, a message for urging utilization of both side printing is delivered to the client thus saving consumable goods. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
