PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately set a reference value for detecting excess current in a current-detecting apparatus which judges the excess current based on a detection output of a current sensor. SOLUTION: Current sensors 81a-81c detect a current flowing in current feed lines (bus bars) 31a-31c through magnetic field detection elements arranged in the vicinity of the feed lines 31a-31c. The detected current information is branched by a branching circuit. One is taken into an electronic control device 40 as a feedback signal via output buffers 83a-83c, and the other is sent into an excess current-detecting part 82 to detect an excess current. The excess current-detecting part 82 compares the sent current information with a reference value for excess current judgement OVCref thereby to judge whether or not it is an excess current. Since a power feed circuit for feeding a driving current to the magnetic field detection elements of the current sensors 81a-81c as well as the branching circuit and the excess current-detecting part 82 are formed on a common substrate, this secures the accuracy of the reference value OVCref. |
