<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bone density evaluation apparatus which has a high resolution and corresponds to a subject of various sizes and shapes. <P>SOLUTION: The bone density evaluation apparatus by X-ray CT is equipped with an outer container 11 with an X-ray absorption coefficient at least equal to or higher than an X-ray absorption coefficient of a cortical bone, a plurality of calibration phantoms which are used for the evaluation of the bone density, are attached to the inside of the outer container 11, and has a known X-ray absorption coefficient, and a space 13 for accommodating the subject along arbitrary calibration phantoms 12 in the outer container 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
