PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new glass coat from which a hard film hardly eroded with an alkali reagent and peculiar to an inorganic coating agent can be formed regardless of the kind of base materials to be coated, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The glass coat and the method for manufacturing it are characterized in that powdery and granular silica balloons or water-granulated slag are added to liquified silicon fluoride, after dissolving up to the saturation point, the resulting solution is made into a colloidal supersaturated solution, and then borosiloxane is added while impressing a high frequency magnetic field to make resulting mixture into a polymer alloy state. A glass coating can be formed by forming a thin film of the glass coat and subjecting the thin film to heat treatment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
