Decontamination of an organochlorine biocide-contaminated object comprises using a plant-based terpene as the fat releaser and a nonionic ethoxylated sorbitan ester as the surfactant.. Decontamination of an organochlorine biocide-contaminated object as per (parent patent) comprises using a plant-based terpene as the fat releaser and a nonionic ethoxylated sorbitan ester as the surfactant. Independent claims are also included for processes in which: (1) an alkaline-reacting alkali carbonate solution is introduced onto the object before applying water to remove the wash-system; and (2) a plant-derived substances of polyphenol character such as gallotannin or catechols optionally together with dextrins is finally applied to the object.
