PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively avoid medals for rent from overflowing from a container. SOLUTION: The subject medal renting device comprises: a container supplying device for supplying containers for housing the medals to a putting out part one by one based on a putting out signal; a medal putting out device for putting out the medals to the container supplied to the putting out part; and a housed quantity detector for detecting the quantity of the medals housed in the container. The medal renting device comprises: an overflowing prevention device for outputting the stopping signal of the putting out device and the removing signal of the container in the putting out part when the housed quantity obtained by the housed quantity detector becomes a prescribed quantity; a container detector for detecting the presence/absence of the container in the putting out part; and a remainder putting out device for starting the container supplying device and the medal putting out device based on the container absence signal of the container detector.
