<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display which prevents light emission quantity of each pixel from being uneven. <P>SOLUTION: The image display utilizing a spontaneous light emission type electroluminescence (EL) element comprises a display panel, each driver utilized for driving the display panel and a display controlling section for controlling the driver. The display controlling section detects light emission quantity from electric current flowing in the electroluminescence element of each pixel and changes white gradation level of data voltage offered to each electroluminescence element and thereby light emission quantity is controlled.
