<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient energy-saving operation by decreasing the number of times of starting a fixing heater in an image forming apparatus provided with a multi-functional faculties. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 is provided with a scanner part 1, a plotter part 2, a facsimile part 200 and the like, is equipped with functions of copy, printer, facsimile and the like, and is controlled by a power saving mode control part to suppress power consumption on standby. The image forming apparatus 100 is provided with an HDD 7 for storing received facsimile data in a power saving mode, a temperature sensor 23 for detecting an ambient temperature, an ambient temperature storage part 24 for storing the result detected by the temperature sensor 23 together with a detection time, and a system control part 5 for performing control to print the received facsimile data stored in the HDD 7 just after copying or print-out by a printer and for performing control to print the received facsimile data stored in the HDD 7 in a time zone wherein the ambient temperature stored in the ambient temperature storage part 24 is highest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
