PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set-top box for two-way communications with which an inputted down signal can be also supplied to other equipment without incurring errors in regenerative data even when a receiving power level is low. SOLUTION: The set-top box for the two-way communications is provided with a diplexer for diplexing a down signal inputted from a coaxial cable and an up signal outputted to the coaxial cable, a down signal amplifier for amplifying the down signal outputted from the diplexer, a distributor for distributing a power for the down signal outputted from the down signal amplifier, a video receiving tuner for tuning a desired video signal among down signals outputted from the distributor, a data receiving tuner for tuning a desired receiving data signal among the down signals outputted from the distributor, a down signal switch for passing either the down signal outputted from the distributor or the down signal outputted from the diplexer, and a data transmission amplifier for amplifying a power of a transmitting data signal to output the signal to the diplexer.
