PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: conventional methods for cultivating Sparassis crispa are to carry out a complex treatment using saw dust of Larix kaempfei, use a specific raw material/a specific strain and expensive nutrients, and so forth; those methods require an excessive investment for carrying out a mass production; and the mass production of Sparassis crispa has been impossible, as the specific raw material/the specific strain must be used. SOLUTION: Spawns of Sparassis crispa are prepared by carrying out tissue separation of naturally growing Sparassis crispa, culturing the separated tissue in an agar medium and culturing with a mixture of saw dust of coniferous/deciduous trees. Sparassis crispa is grown by transplanting the cultured tissue to a mixture medium of the coniferous/deciduous trees added with nutrients. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
