CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube and its manufacturing method, capable of aging without leaving to stand for a long time in a manufacturing process and without causing discharge breakdown in a field emission cold cathode. SOLUTION: An electron gun sealed in a neck part of the cathode-ray tube is constituted by installing in order a cathode body structure 1 on which the field emission cold cathode is mounted; a first electrode 2; a second electrode 3; a focusing electrode 4; and a final acceleration electrode 5, and each electrode is supported and fixed with multiform glass 6 made of a glass material. A glass capillary 8 is passed through a stem 7 in which a pin for supplying potential to each electrode is installed. A suppress ribbon 9 is installed in the vicinity of the focusing electrode 4. A nonvolatile solid getter 10 is installed in the vicinity of the cathode body structure 1 and the suppress ribbon 9. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
