PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development replenishing method for an automatic development apparatus for a photosensitive planographic printing plate by which a fluctuation in developing solution sensitivity with respect to a change in development processing conditions is minimized while the developing section of the automatic development apparatus of a replenishing system based on electrical conductance can employ simple and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: The electrical conductance value of the developing solution is measured at every predetermined fixed period and when the measured electrical conductance value of the developing solution falls below the target electrical conductance value, the developing solution is replenished with a predetermined fixed amount of a development replenisher and the time interval between the replenishing time of the development replenisher of the previous time and the replenishing time of the development replenisher of this time is measured. An equation for calculating the target electrical conductance value is selected based on the measured replenishing time interval and the threshold value of the replenishing time interval, and the target electrical conductance value is updated by using the selected equation for calculating the target replenishing time interval and the measured replenishing time interval.
