METHOD FOR PREDICTING NOISE GENERATED FROM TIRE TREAD PATTERN

PURPOSE: A method for predicting noise generated from a tire tread pattern is provided to significantly reduce an error range by using a weight function obtained through an experiment. CONSTITUTION: A method for predicting noise generated from a tire tread pattern includes a step of measuring sound pressure at inner and outer portion of a tire. Log scaled sound pressure is replaced with linear sound pressure in order to correct a difference of sound pressure with a linear scale. Then, a line matching is carried out with a primary order, thereby obtaining an experimental weight value function. After obtaining a weight value coefficient, a variation of a block intensity is calculated by all adding data to each other. Noise of the tire tread pattern is predicted based on the variation of the block intensity.
