PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of the stimulated laser beams, and to reduce the effect by the return to a luminous source of the laser beams in an up-conversion fiber laser device. SOLUTION: In the fiber laser device, a polarizer 131 and a high reflector 132 for extracting an output 127 from an up-conversion laser are mounted between a laser 120 for projecting the stimulation laser beams 121 and a rare-earth added fiber 125, the stimulated laser beams 129 of a polarization orthogonal to the polarization in the case of an incidence to the fiber in excited laser beams output from the output side of the fiber are returned into the fiber again, and stimulated laser beams 130 having another polarization are output in the direction different from the laser for stimulation.
