PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle constituted to enable a reduction of the steady-state deviation and enhancement of the steering holding stability compatible with each other in a higher dimension. SOLUTION: The steering device for the vehicle is equipped with a steering means (steering wheel 2) which the driver manipulates, a driving means (electric motor 10) to give a steering angle to a tire 6 in accordance with the operating amount of the steering means, a steering reaction force giving means (electric motor 4) for giving a reaction force resisting against the driver's operating force to the steering means, and a control means 13 furnished with an integral controller 18 for issuing an instruction about the driving force to the driving means, wherein the integral controller exerts an integrating effect increased or decreased in accordance with the motion condition of the vehicle or the road surface situation. Because the degree of the deviation between the actual value and the target value generated by the load change of the driving means can be increased or decreased to any value according to the requirement, the degree of the reaction force feedback given to the driver can be controlled optimally.
