VIBRATION ISOLATING FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an vibration isolating fuel pump assembly installed with a stationary support 14 in a fuel tank. SOLUTION: An inner retainer 16 is fitted in the stationary support 14. The inner retainer 16 includes a retainer body 18 and at least two flexible leg parts 20 extending substantially vertically and connected to the periphery of the retainer body 18. The upper end of the flexible leg part 20 is firmly supported by the stationary support 14 in the upper part thereof. A fuel pump 20 is received in the retainer body. Each flexible leg part has its lower end connected to the retainer body through a resilient connecting element 24 having a roughly S-shaped profile. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
