The present invention provides isolated antisense molecules targeted to BC20 0 RNA. The subject antisense molecules are useful in treating various neurological disorders and carcinomas in a subject. Also provided are method s of treating a neurological disorder or cancer in a subject by administering a therapeutically effective amount of a subject antisense molecule. A method f or treating epilepsy in a patient by administering an effective amount of BC200 RNA is also provided. Further, kits comprising a subject antisense molecule and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier are provided by the present invention.
