<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint connectable in a single operation, providing a secure connection state, and allowing a large fluid passage to be secured in a socket. <P>SOLUTION: Two rows of lock balls comprising a first lock ball 11 and a second lock ball 12 are fitted to a tubular body 8 forming the socket 1 starting at the tip thereof. A first lock ball release recessed surface 14, a first lock ball contact tilted surface 15, a second lock ball release recessed surface 16, a second lock ball contact tilted surface 17, and a second lock ball pressing projected surface 18 are continuously connected to the inner peripheral surface of a sleeve 13 fitted to the outer periphery of the socket 1 starting at the tip thereof. When the sleeve 13 is positioned at a forward movement position, the first lock ball 11 is positioned at the lower end of the first lock ball contact tilted surface 15, and the second lock ball 12 is positioned at the lower side of the second lock ball pressing projected surface 18. When the first lock ball 11 is positioned at the first lock ball release recessed surface 14, the second lock ball 12 is positioned to the lower end of the second lock ball contact tilted surface 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
