Connection method for pipe outer mantle sections, by winding resin impregnated fibre material around these sections and using gasket to remove air

A resin-impregnated fibre material (8) is wound around the two pipe sections (6), a gasket is placed around the fibre material and used to remove air from the latter and the gasket is then removed. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) Gasket used in this method, comprising a gastight strip with flexible edges which is used to form a vacuum chamber, a heating layer and a connection for an external pump; (b) Pipe (1) comprising two sections connected via a cured resin-impregnated fibre material which is wound around the outer mantles of these two sections and at least partially embedded in the thermoplastic layer next to the edges of these mantles; and (c) Winding frame forming a clamping ring for placing around a pipe, the frame including guide rolls which can allow the frame to rotate around the pipe length axis in a first position and can allow the frame to be moved in the pipe axial direction in a second position, the frame also including a storage device for a resin-impregnated fibre material for winding around the pipe.
