PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly analyze the film thickness of an electrodeposition coating film within a closed structure section. SOLUTION: In performing electrodeposition coating while moving a material to be coated in an electrodeposition tank, the film thickness of the electrodeposition coating film on the surface of the material to be coated is predicted by measuring the potential on the surface of the moving material to be coated with lapse of time during electrodeposition coating.
