PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for using in a substantially non-photosensitive thermographic recording material suitable for use without exerting a bad influence upon an image color tone in a high throughput thermographic printer.

SOLUTION: This stabilizer includes a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formula (I) and having a specified group.
