PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influences of the interference between symbols caused when a multipath interference for a delay time exceeding a guard interval length exists and to improve the resistance against the multipath interference of the delay time below the guard interval length in an OFDM-signal receiving apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a subtractor for subtracting multipath interference components from an input signal, a filter for generating the multipath interference components, first and second transmission-line characteristics estimating parts for estimating the transmission-line characteristics in inputting to and outputting from the subtractor, a residual calculating circuit for calculating a cancellation residual from the outputs, an IFFT circuit for converting the output, a coefficient updating circuit for generating a coefficient of a filter from the output, a decision circuit for deciding the results of demodulating the output of the subtractor, a reliability calculating circuit for calculating the reliability of the demodulation results from the transmission-line characteristics of a system in the subtractor input, and a weighing circuit for weighing decision data on the basis of the reliability.
