PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for an electrostatic latent image developer, exhibiting a positive electrification amount which is properly controlled for a toner, having a resistant property against environmental fluctuation, and capable of maintaining the electrification characteristic and the proper image quality for a long period of time, the electrostatic latent image developer, and an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: The carrier for the electrostatic latent image developer having the positive electrification characteristic is characterized in that the carrier for the electrostatic latent image developer has a coating resin layer on the surface of a core member, in which the coating resin layer includes a matrix resin having the essential ingredients of a polymethyl methacrylate or a polyethyl methacrylate and a silicone resin having a melting point and conductive powder, and in which the carrier resistance under the electric field of 10<SP>3.8</SP>V/cm is in the range of 1×10<SP>8</SP>-1×10<SP>14</SP>Ωcm.
