PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a heating element for heating water in a water supply container to regularly and stably generate steam without causing an abnormal overheating by empty burning, in a water supplying device such as steam generator or humidifier, and to prevent the adhesion of a foreign matter to the heating element by reforming supplied water. SOLUTION: The water supplying device comprises an attachable and detachable liquid vessel 10, a level detection means 20 having an equipment body separable from the liquid vessel 10 and a control means 36 for controlling the operation of a heating means based on the signal from the level detection means 20, so that steam is generated after it is detected that water is filled in the vessel. A water treatment material 8 is sealed in the suction pipe 16 of the liquid vessel 10 to reform the supplied water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
