PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening base capable of stably transplanting a plant without collapsing the root shape of a seedling of the plant and promoting the growth on rooting the plant artificially on a concrete surface of a roof top, or the like, and also to provide a method for producing the greening base without attaching materials to a mold on producing the same, and a method for installing the same. SOLUTION: The greening base having water permeability and obtained by solidifying particle materials as layers with an adhesive curing material is provided by forming a plurality of planting holes positioned at prescribed intervals of a penetrating shape for approximately fitting to the root shapes of the planted seedlings so that the root shape of the seedlings grown in a seedling growing container is not collapsed, the lower end part of the root part shape attaches to a rooting layer of the greening base from the beginning of transplantation in the planting hole so that the plant is rooted in the planting hole in a state of maintaining the root part shape.
